Nicole L. Gougeon, MSSW, LICSW
Education:  MSSW, University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996.
Credentials:  Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker – MN; Licensed Clinical Social Worker – WI; member of NASW since 1995.
Areas of Practice:  Individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents and adults. Nicole has over 15 years of experience treating anxiety, depression, and trauma in children and adults in an outpatient setting.
Special Interests:  Effective parenting techniques, ADHD and divorce adjustment for children and families. She is also a licensed facilitator of the nationally recognized Sandcastles Program™ for children of divorce.

Paul Hill, PhD, LP
Education:  Dr. Hill earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University in 1994.
Credentialing:   Licensed Psychologist
Area of Practice:  Outpatient psychotherapy, psychological assessments and testing. Individual, family, and couples therapy with adults, adolescents, and children. Dr. Hill is also BHSI's Operations Director.

Sally Phillips, PhD, LP
Education:  Dr. Phillips earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Miami University, 2003. She completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, 2003-2004.
Credentialing:  Licensed Psychologist.
Areas of Practice: Outpatient psychotherapy with children (8+), adolescent, adults, couples and families.
Areas of interest:  Insight oriented psychoanalytic therapy (MPSI member), and short-term, problem focused therapy.  Relationship issues, parenting, depression and anxiety, ethnic identity development, coping with food allergies.  Dr. Phillips sees all members of the adoption constellation (birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees) and has completed training  through the U of MN Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW) to receive the  Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC), including nationally recognized Training in Adoption Competency (TAC).  She is also a vetted therapist and board member at MNAdopt.

Alyssa Seykora, MA, LMFT
Education:  Alyssa earned her Master’s Degree from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 2002.
Credentialing:  Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy
Areas of Practice:  Outpatient psychotherapy with children (8+), adolescent, adults, and families.
Special Interests:  Working with a wide range of behavioral disorders in children and adolescents, parenting concerns, parenting rebellious teens, mood disorders in children, adolescents and adults, relational difficulties, family concerns, management of serious persistent mental illness, trauma, cross cultural issues, addiction, codependency, mindfulness, meditation and increasing coping skills. Clinical supervision of Marriage and Family Therapy trainees.

Alicia Swalley, Psy.D., LP
Education: Alicia earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology in 2014.
Credentialing:  Licensed Psychologist
Psychotherapy Practice: Outpatient psychotherapy with children (8+), adolescents, and adults.
Assessment Practice: Psychological testing/assessments with children (6+), adolescents, and adults. Assessment/testing areas include: ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, intellectual/cognitive, adaptive behavior functioning, personality functioning (objective and projective personality testing), and assessments that assist with diagnostic clarification in order to develop individualized treatment recommendations.
Special Interests: Person-centered, psychodynamic, and relational psychotherapy approaches; collaborative and individualized treatment planning; wellness and recovery-based approaches with individuals coping with serious and persistent mental illness; working with individuals in the LGBTQ communities; cross cultural issues in risk assessment and multicultural competence; spiritual issues; sexuality/sexual health; identity development and life transitions, co-occurring substance use and mental health concerns; grief; helping individuals heal from past trauma.

Jane Khaskilevich, PA-C 

Education:   Jane earned a BS degree in Psychology and Pre-Med from the University of Minnesota. She then completed her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona in 2010. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Credentialing:   Board Certified Physician Assistant
Areas of Practice:   As a Physician Assistant, Jane currently provides adult outpatient psychiatric services including psychiatric assessments, consultations, and medication treatment and management.  

John Shirriff, MD
Education:  Dr. Shirriff did his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin , then earned his MD degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his residency there in 1985.
Credentialing:  Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry
Area of Practice:  Outpatient medication evaluations and medication monitoring with adults Dr. Shirriff is also BHSI Medical Director.

Molly Silas, MD
Education:  Dr. Silas earned the degree of M.D. through the University of Minnesota in 1990. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Minnesota in 1995.
