About Dan's Area of Practice
Dan is a Licensed Therapist, MN. He primarily works with adults and also with a small number of children. He orients therapy toward clients’ therapy goals; “meeting you where you’re at and helping you get where you want to go”. This can include helping clients navigate any current challenges or crises while fostering skills and capacities for future resilience. He flexibly draws from a wide variety of approaches, including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral, humanistic, spiritually-sensitive, and cognitive-behavioral.
Education
Earned a Master’s degree (1987) and Ph.D. (1990) in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
Special Interests
Special interests include assisting clients with anxiety disorders including panic/agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, social anxiety, phobia, as well as stress disorders and co-occurring anxiety and depression. She helps navigate a variety of life issues, such as career decision-making, spiritual issues, life adjustments, relationship issues, developmental issues, problematic anger, forgiveness, men’s issues, and grieving.
