About Dr. Gikiri's Area of Practice
Dr. Gikiri provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, short term therapy, follow up care, and injection administration. She sees patients in person or by telemedicine. She is trained to care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Your diagnosis does not define you. Life is a journey, your diagnosis is a bump on the road. It’s okay to take a detour or define a new normal. Dr. Gikiri works in partnership with the patient to devise a treatment plan.
Education
Dr. Gikiri completed a Doctor of Nursing degree from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Graduated with a Masters in Nursing from Augsburg College, Minnesota.
Credentialing
Dr. Gikiri is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), – Across the Lifespan in the state of Minnesota. She is board certified by the Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) – Across the Lifespan
Special Interests:
Dr. Gikiri enjoys working with autism, ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, psychosis, addiction, bipolar, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, mindfulness, and aggression/anger management diagnosis. She has a special interest in BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community.
