About Dr. Scarbrough's Area of Practice
Dr. Scarbrough provides individual, couples and family therapy with adolescents and adults. Dr. Scarbrough is also well versed in psychological assessments with children, adolescents and adults.
Education:
Dr. Scarbrough earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
Special interests:
Dr. Scarbrough is known for his particular expertise in dealing with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, substance abuse and couples therapy issues. He is also highly qualified in working with depression, PTSD, psychosis (e.g. Schizophrenia), personality disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, autism, impulse control disorders and anger management. He is an integrative specialist who draws from a wide variety of disciplines including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, existential and person-centered approaches. Dr. Scarbrough values using a culturally adaptive style that selects clinically proven interventions based on an individual’s preferences and level of motivation for change.
