About Jennifer Area of Practice
Jennifer is a pre-licensed therapist passionate about fostering a collaborative counseling relationship to help clients move toward their life goals. Her approach integrates evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, ACT, and existential psychology principles. She views each client as a unique individual shaped by their personal experiences and as part of a larger dynamic system, working to support growth and resilience on both levels. Jennifer is pursuing her Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in Minnesota. She is working under the supervision of Gary Muchow, Ph. D., LMFT
Education
Jennifer earned her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology (2023) and completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology in 2019.
Special interests:
Adolescents and adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and substance use. She experience in the following communities: LGBTQIA+, individuals on probation/parole, individuals with substance use disorder, and grief. She also has an interest in prevention in working with adolescents to work toward a positive trajectory through life.
